While speculation has overshadowed the release of Nick Carter solo album. Jive Records is ready to release the album officially. Now or Never, will be released on October 22, 2002. The first single "I Got You," (a ballad) impacts radio on September 9th. While the single doesnt begin hitting radio outlets 'til later in the month. Jive has set up a promotional plan in order to build the already strong momentum. AOL will premiere its first listen series on August 21- August 23rd. This follows the successful run AOL has had in the past with such artist as Beyonce' Knowles and Britney Spears. According to Jive the video will premiere on MTV's "Making The Video," special the week of September 16, 2002. While TRL will issue the video September 23rd, 2002. In the meantime, there will be 3 song snippets at the end of brother Aaron's LP coming 9/3.

okay...i'm as anxious for a new album as anyone...in fact i'm anxious for both BSB's & KRYStAL's (KRYStAL's was supposed to be out this July, but got pushed back to "early 2003" apparently there are some collaborations in the works that are holding it up) anywho, back to BSB...if ya'll remember they said they weren't happy with "Black & Blue" b/c they felt they were rushed to release it...also a "Greatest Hits" album was rushed onto store shelves to keep the fans happy (which they weren't
happy with either) so, let's recap as to what has happened since "Black & Blue" came out (in no particular order):

AJ went into rehab (yeah! go AJ! keep it up!)
Nick got arrested
Nick started his boat racing

BSB left The Firm
Nick started recording his solo album

Well I'm sure that most of you have read one of the Chicken Soup For The Soul books....you know with all those poems, stories and all that emotional stuff.....

Well Hey!! BSB Fans can do emotional stuff!! so heres our chance!! we are putting together one of these books but this time it's for the Backstreet soul!!

OK, Mr. Carter is the oldest...he's 50, going to be 51 in Sept. Mrs. Carter is the second oldest, she's going to be 44 in March next year.
Ginger (the older half sibling) is going to be 30 (I believe) in Oct. Nicky is 22, he was born on Jan. 28, 1980 at 8 PM. Bobbie Jean is 20, she was born on Jan. 12, 1982. Leslie is 16, she was born on June 6, 1986 at 12:15 PM (I believe)....and the twins (Angel and Aaron) are 14...they're going to be 15 Dec. 7, they were born on Dec. 7, 1987 at 8:01 and 8:02 AM. <~~Angel is exactly one minute older than Aaron. I was watching the TV last Sunday and on comes a commercial about a mother trying to teach her son different sports. He fails in all of them but she keeps trying. At the end the boys is with a choir and guess what he starts singing?? The Perfect Fan. The whole commercial is about it. It's by the Coalition for Better Living or something like that. it was really really sweet and loving. The song fit perfectly. Anyway, just want to tell you all.

I just wanted to tell you
something's that you "might" not have known before about
Nicky and his family. First off, Nick's part Irish,
German, French, Dutch, English, Welsh, Dutch, Scotch,
and German. (ANNA's Note: Heh. He's made of the SAME STUFF I am!!! Except I'm not part Welsh, and he's not part Cherokee) His grandma Barb (Dad's Mom) has a twin sis
named Betty Jane; Nicky's Mom has uncles who are twins
(the twins are her father's brothers); from the heritage
of the Carter family: Nick's Dad is English and French
(and some other things, I think (his Mom is French and
his Dad is English). Nick's Mom is Irish and German
(and other things (Mrs. Carter's Mom is German and her
father is Irish). Nick has a step - grandma named
Linda. Nick's grandma Jean (Mom's Mom) was born on Jan.
28, 1933. Angel and Aaron were named after Mr. Carter's
parents (AC after grandpa Chuck and Angel's middle name
is Barbara (Barbara is Mr. Carter's Mom's first name).
Bobbie Jean was named after her Dad and grandma Jean
(BJ's parents named her Bobbie after her Dad, Bob (they
added bie to Bob to make it Bobbie and she had dubbed
the middle name Jean after her grandma Jean (BJ's
grandma on her Mom's side's first name is Helen and her
middle name is Jean). And lastly...Mr. Carter is an
only child. Well, I hope this helps you guys out with

Leighanne and Brian taped their episode of Crossing Over yesterday! This was a quite emotional time for Leighanne so be glad they decided to share their experience with us. :) Leighanne did connect with the individual she chose to try and connect with. Leighanne was so overcome with emotion, that Brian had to finish answering the questions for her, as she was crying.

The episode of Crossing Over will air sometime in the next week or so. Be on the look out for it, as AJ and Sarah also appeared!

"Right now, some people are worried that the Backstreet Boys are over, but it's not true. The other guys are supporting me on my solo project, which is good. The transition from a group dynamic to a solo takes adjustment. I'm making a lot more decisions - concepts for videos, everything. I've been with the group for 10 years. Most families spend the end of summer gearing up for school. The Carters are spending it preparing for the pop charts. Seven weeks before Nick Carter's debut solo album is due, his younger brother Aaron will shake up the teen scene with Another Earthquake. Due September 3, Aaron's fourth full-length will feature a collaboration with the Baha Men on "Summertime," the album's first single. Carter and the Baha Men shot a video for the song in the Bahamas last weekend, according to the singer's Jive Records spokesperson. Another Earthquake also features production work from Rick Rock (Will Smith), Alex G (nsync) and Shep & Kenny (Mandy Moore). Nick Carter, who appeared on Aaron's last album, has been too busy with his own Now or Never (due October 22) to contribute this time around.Aaron will promote Another Earthquake on the Rock, Rap and Retro Tour, which kicks off August 6 near Nashville. Up-and-coming pop artists Jump 5, No Secrets and Triple Image are opening on the trek.
